I love those mornings when I wake up at 4:30 or 5:30 completely rested and ready to work.

Right now, my writing is so rewarding because it allows me to feel more connected to myself, my purpose, and to God.

I love writing romance, but right now, love is being redefined for me and so is my life's mission. I want to share the word of God with others so that they can feel God's love, because that love is the foundation for all others. And it is the very love that I struggled to feel for most of my life.

Growing up, I dealt with tons of insecurities and anxiety. I was heavily criticized and compared to my slimmer sibling. Curvier bodies weren't as accepted as they are now. ***I'm a 90s/ early 2000s girl.

I struggled with over-exercising and barely eating just to feel attractive. I never felt worthy of love or being chosen and yet that's all I wanted. This led me to unhealthy relationships in my late-teens, which ultimately led to a mid-twenties divorce and I've been single ever since.

This hopeless romantic had to learn how to love herself and I started doing that by getting into the gym in 2023. After gaining 160 pounds throughout my twenties, I've nearly lost it all with weight training, cardio, and changed eating habits.

I've never shared much about my journey here, because it felt out of place and it's been incredibly personal. But the gym is such a huge part of my life, I want to share it with you all too. ☺️

Closing out 2025 with one last project! I just finished editing The Last Christmas List: A Holiday Romance Novella 🎄❤️

I will format it and hit publish tomorrow. Depending on how quickly Amazon approves it, this may be the final release of 2025 or the first release of 2026.

This novella was a total passion project and was inspired by my real life. It is bittersweet, but drives home a powerful message to reflect on at this time of year.

“The greatest present is presence.”

There is a super cute love story between Lily and Jax at the center. He’s her brother’s best friend / childhood bully / first boy she ever loved, kissed / first heartbreak, etc. And now they’re reunited for the first time in seven years for one last Andrew’s family Christmas.

A novella is obviously much shorter than a full length novel but I still feel like you get enough from these two characters to fall in love with their love story AND step into the world of Serendipity, Louisiana—the small town outside of New Orleans where this story is set.

I love writing!! I just don’t like promoting my writing. But you have to to an extent to actually be able to continue writing.

What I’ve discovered is a simpler approach to “content creation” and that’s just sharing an inside look at my process & my writing table.

Instead of me spending hours in Canva, creating posts I’ll likely never share (because time 🙃), I’ll just show you what it looks like when I write a book, a short story, a blog post. Sound good?

Well loves, it’s been a minute and a rough one at that. Life has hit my family hard over the past couple of weeks. Someone very close to me has received a cancer diagnosis that has shaken us all. I had so many plans and more ideas keep forming because this brain of mine never stops, but…

Right now, I’m taking a pause to focus on my family. I will still work quietly offline doing what I feel led to as I have time to. But quietly and offline is key.

More blog content is sure to come. Additionally, I’m still excited about my Christian non-fiction book I’m set to begin next year. I’ve also got something else fiction wise I feel excited about. But again, I will get to it when I get to it and there likely won’t be any big announcements anytime soon. Maybe just small launches 🥹👀

Wrapping up my backlist breakdown is the book that caught me by surprise. I never imagined myself writing a story with a deaf lead. This idea came to me after sudden inspiration and it was so beautiful, I had to write it. ⁣

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 is my longest book to date and yet I wrote it in the same amount of time as my shortest novel. The words flew out of me like a demon that needed to be exorcised. ⁣

Normally when I write, I'm crying, laughing, screaming. I'm feeling all the emotions as the scenes play out in my mind. My fingers move across the keyboard at rapid speed, translating what's happening in my head. ⁣

When I look back on writing this novel, I feel like I was out of my body. I don't remember crying or experiencing all the emotions I normally do. Yet my readers spend most of the book crying their eyes out. ⁣

This is a heartbreaking book and yet, I didn't feel that ache while writing. I'd been carrying it inside me for years. Writing this book was me staring at the computer, watching the words scribble before me with a blank expression on my face. ⁣

There were a few lines that woke me up from the daze. A few moments that felt like aha! That's good. But mostly, it was just an extraction of so much that'd been living inside me.⁣

Maybe reading this novel will feel the same way. Maybe it'll resurface things lost inside you, things you're finally ready to feel. ⁣
